Great show, I hope someone wrote down the songlist. I was too busy taking pics, which I will try to post tomorrow. I'll take more pics tonight at the Social.
A young soloist named Kristina started with about 5 songs. She is in a local band, and her music is largely inspired by Ours. She did a great job, it takes guts and talent to stand up and deliver heavy songs.
Static started with his 20 minute experimental looping. This is a great talent and art. Some people get bored with it, but if you follow what he does in shaping each loop and then layering them into a backdrop over which he lays a solo, it's very absorbing. A new twist: Locke added some spacey effects of his own to Static's solo.
During one of the set songs (forgot which one dammit), Locke played a Theremin pad from the top left of his keyboard. It's been decades since I have seen this done, maybe I'm just not going to as many shows....I built a simple one in college.....great to see it used in a show.
Gotta go to Orlando....pics tomorrow if they come out.
I hope the guys yelling for Buckley songs stand somewhere else tonight, preferably outside.....HEY GUYS....WE ARE WATCHING JIMMY GNECCO....he writes songs too.

Amazing show. There were about 100 - 115 people there. I was in line with my girlfriend with about 10 other people about 30 minutes before the doors opened and Jimmy came out and said hello, shared a few words and thanked us for coming. He's a great, down to earth guy.

The opener was pretty much Jimmy-lite. Not very original. She had a good voice, though. I didn't write down the setlist, but these songs were definitely played:

Murder
Mercy
God Only Wants You
Worst Things Beautiful
Live Again
Get Up
Sometimes
I'm A Monster
Meet Me In The Tower
Drowning
Fallen Souls
Red Colored Stars
If Flowers Turn
I Ran Away To Tell The World

There were a few other songs that I hadn't heard. I think Lost might have been one of them. I think it's pretty safe to say that the new album will definitely be their best yet. Watching them do Mercy felt like watching the Cure doing Pornography. I can't wait for the new album/tour.

Hi guys, I'm a noob here but thanks to dredg I discovered this wonderful band. I just picked up "precious" and i'm amazed and how good Jimmy's vocals are on this album. Anyways, I was just checking some reviews for the ft. lauderdale show (which I wasn't able to attend) and I'm glad they had a lot of good songs in their setlist. Hopefully someone managed to record their set....but even pictures will do Confusedmile2:

I'm really looking forward to new album and I hope they'll come back again soon.

I have some decent pics....can someone help me get them posted here (or in another thread)?

Clockwork4168 will be hosting my pictures (maybe on this thread) sometime in the next day or two. Redjez took some too. Can't wait to see them.
Here's one of mine.

If you like Precious that much, do yourself a favor and get your hands on Distorted Lullabies. I love Precious, but DL is incredible.

@ Danny: I've heard great thing about the first album as well. I'm going to have to order it though amazon since a lot of the stores down here don't seem to carry it.

Thanks for posting those. I'm being a stupid girl now, but he is so friggin sexy. Another dumb thought is that I like his outfit. Okay, this middle schooler is gonna quit. I went to the ATL show and it was great. It should've been a double billing, since both bands are pleasing to the ear. Oh well, we can't have it all.
