ROAD RECOVERY presents: 'MEETING, MUSIC & LAUGHS'
MATINEE at THE LIVING ROOM in New York City on JANUARY 27, 2007
Road Recovery will present 'Meeting, Music & Laughs' on Saturday, January
27, 2007 at The Living Room, 154 Ludlow Street in Manhattan. The event
continues a series of matinee shows every other month to showcase Road Recovery's mission in the tri-state area while providing entertainment and an open forum for dialogue and shared experience. The non-profit organization which is New York based is comprised of entertainment industry professionals whose lives have been touched by addiction and other adversities and now wish to make a positive impact on the lives of others.
Through mentoring, educational and live performance-based programs, Road Recovery's goal is to help young people find their way towards a healthy future.
'Meeting, Music & Laughs' will open doors at 2:00 PM for a one-hour recovery/sobriety meeting which is open to all attendees. The meeting will be followed by a poetry reading by Robert Astor, musical performances by Road Recovery's Crazy James and Jimmy Gnecco of the rock group Ours (Geffen/Universal), and stand-up by comedian Mike DeStefano and other special guests. The matinee event will end by 6:00 PM.
