Is anyone else a fan of this british musician?..the Jeff Buckley-elements in his songs and voice I must say reaaaaaaally work well. "Passing Stranger" I finally heard today and get the sense I will be playing it a lot more in the near future.
I'd definitely recommend people check him out..especially people into Jeff Buckley or experimental, acoustic-driven singer/songwriters.

He has a great voice, but my god does he sound like Buckley. I don't think I could get past that.

I don't think he sounds like Jeff at all..
But he *does* remind me of
Patrick Watson (who I like very, very much!)

my comments about his new album "Elsewhere" the last few days:
finally heard the new album. Definitely better than I expected, although the 1st 2/3 or so I think impressed me more than some of the slower, ballady kinds of songs towards the end. But the 1st 3 or 4 songs especially the string arrangements definitely work well. The Robert Plant vocal-duet piece isn't bad either.
I really like a lot of this album. A lot of the songs are simple, but really tastefully arranged and melodic.
I'd say other than maybe 1 or 2 tracks towards the last 1/3, everything else really works. I also think it's a nice change/progression from Passing Stranger, which I now want to revisit.
